collectl software package provides Utility to collect Linux performance data, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install collectl
collectl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the collectl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep collectl *
You will get with collectl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
